Create a Review of a Communication Tool




This could be a technology from history (Telegraph, Vinyl Record, Radio) or a new technology (social media app, online community, digital magazine)


Include:

A Title

2-3 Images

A summary of how the device works. Explain using the list of terms below that apply.

A review: How fun, useful or valuable is the tool.

Photoshop Activity 1 - Selecting Tools and Effects





1) Open Photoshop and create a new project using the default Photoshop size

2) Find an image online using Google Images - right click on the image you like and select "copy"

3) Return to your blank Photoshop canvas and press "ctrl + V" to paste your image.

4) Click on the "Rectangle Marquee" tool to select a portion of your picture



5) From the "Filter Menu" select "Pixelate" and then "Crystalize" then ok.

6)Apply a different effect to 4 different section of your image. Try adding a few effects to each section to change the colour and style.

5) Upload 2 images to your Media Portfolio, ONE BEFORE EDITS, and ONE AFTER EDITS.

Activity 1: What type of creator are you? 

a) Click the link below and complete the survey.



b) Once completed - Choose "Download" and save to your "Media 9" OneDrive Folder.


Activity 2: Term Portfolio


a) Open Microsoft PowerPoint and rename your presentation "Media Portfolio"

b) Create a "Title" slide with:
Your name
The name of the course (Media Arts 9)
The year (2024)
An image of your choice

c) Create a new slide and upload you "Creative Type" information you downloaded in activity 1.
Include:
An image
A description of your "Creative Type"
A short reflection: Do aspects of your survey results do you agree with?
